Supervision
Motivated by an understanding of the relationship’s key role in change, Candy strives to build safety and hold space in supervision, incorporating honesty, vulnerability and acceptance into her supervisory practice. She believes that a safe space allows supervisees to experientially appreciate the power and benefit of empathy, positive-regard, acceptance and genuine presence and can carry that into their own practice. Candy has trained as a supervisor through the Centre for Existential Practice, attending both The Wheel of Supervision I and II. She has experience with private supervisees and team members as well as over 10 years supervising students of counselling during their field placements.
…you have a talent in holding a space so that people feel safe, and in developing trusting relationships. You are very calm, and very supportive, and you allow people to express their truth without judgement. This is essential if counsellors are to fess up to what REALLY happened…
